Robert Patrick Ceglarski, 82, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, Port Clinton, Ohio. He was born on November 28, 1940 in Toledo, Ohio, a son of Edmund and Esther (Dymyck) Ceglarski. On March 26, 1983 he married Sandy Shearer and she survives.
Bob graduated from Macomber High School in 1958; worked at Dana Spicer Division in Toledo, and retired after 30 years.
Bob was a fishing charter boat captain, Eyecatcher, for over 30 years on Lake Erie during the summers. He loved fishing, especially small mouth bass. He represented Erie Dearie and Lindy Lures. Articles were written about Bob’s expertise in smallmouth fishing and appeared in “Fishing Facts” magazine. Bob was well known and liked in the fishing community, considered by some as “a legend” on the lake. Bob was loved by his wife and family and will be missed.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy; children, Mike Ceglarski, Toledo, Ohio and Lori Lynn (Randy) Bellner, Indianapolis, Indiana; 3 grandchildren; step children, Kerin Hall, Doug Mougey, Mark Mougey; 3 step-grandchildren and 7 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Audrey Knapik; and brother, Thomas (Ceglarski) Brickley.
Visitation will be held at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton, Ohio, on Friday, December 30, 2022 from 5-7 pm.
