Robert S. Paschen, Jr.

Robert S. Paschen, Jr., 66, loving husband of Judy Paschen nee Williams, passed away Tues., April 2 at their home on Catawba Island. Born Sept. 17, 1946, in Erie, Penn. to Robert Sr. and Betty nee Spencer Paschen, Robert was raised with his three sistersGail, Holly and Kyleat the family home in Buffalo, NY. He moved to Catawba in 1965, married Judith J. Austin in 1967, and had his first daughter Leigh Paschen in 1968. Daughter Jennifer b. 1975 and son Robert III b. 1976 were born during Roberts later marriage in 1974 to Judy A. Williams. In the late 60s-early 70s, Robert flew frequently in the Tin Goose to the Lake Erie islands while working for the telephone company. In the 1980s he joined Laborers Local 480, where he was a foreman on construction at Davis Besse nuclear power plant. He built roads, bridges, municipal infrastructure, and amusement rides at Cedar Point. He built a barn and a garage next to his house. He loved speeding on local streets in his 1969 Buick GS Stage I convertible, swimming in Lake Erie, tending his fruit and nut trees, playing euchre and canasta, the Cleveland Browns, his two cats Ricky and Lucy, hot coffee, and a good coney dog. Robert was smart, funny, loving, and will be missed by his wife, his children, his family, and his many friends. A Memorial service will be conducted by Pastor Jeanne Gay at 2:00pm, Saturday, April 06, 2013 in Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton with visitation 2 hours prior from 12-2pm in the funeral home. Memorials in memory of Robert may be given to the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Assoc. or to the American Kidney Foundation.
