Robert A. Nelson

Robert A. Nelson age 84 of Maumee, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born in Racine, WI on June 30, 1932 to Leland and Eva (Patch) Nelson. Bob worked in sales selling industrial cleaning supplies. He retired from Core Distributers in Perrysburg. Bob was an Army veteran having served his country during the Korean War. He enjoyed spending time with his family, volunteering for his church and golfing whenever he had the chance. Surviving is his loving wife of 64 years, Joann Nelson; sons, Michael (Dee), Steve (Nicola), Daniel, Tom and James Nelson; grandchildren, Alan, Tracy, Angela, Jesse, Sarah, Danny (Dillan), Jeffery, Timothy, and Marissa. Also surviving are several great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Laura Nelson; daughter in-law, Theresa Nelson and brothers, John and Tom Nelson. Family and friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
