Robert J. Naveaux

Robert J. Naveaux, 86, of Perrysburg, OH, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019, at Kingston Residence in Sylvania, OH. Robert was born on July 19, 1932, to Leon and Julia (Zukas) Naveaux in Toledo, OH. He married Marilyn (Rerucha) Naveaux on August 28, 1954, who preceded him in death in 2009. Bob had a successful career as a civil engineer. He began as a draftsman, and worked his way up to become the President of Toledo Engineering Company. Bob was a wonderful father and granddad. While working as a successful engineer which led him to travel extensively, he still had plenty of time for his family. He enjoyed trips up to Round Lake, 4th of July parties, and numerous sporting events. He could always be found cheering on The University of Michigan. Bob had a sweet tooth and liked making special treats for his grandkids, whether it be a milkshake or a Boston Cooler. We were so lucky to have him in our lives. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Laura Redd, Jennifer Wagner, Thomas (Elizabeth) Naveaux, and Claudia Pope; grandchildren, Robert Redd, Anne Redd, Lauren (Cody) Scharenberg, Leah Naveaux, Hannah Wagner, Addison (Madelaine) Pope, and Meric Pope; siblings-in-law, Jim and Kathy Rerucha, Tom and Linda Rerucha, and Grace Naveaux; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his wife, Marilyn, Robert was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Frank and Norma (Bade) Rerucha; brother, Leon “Bud” Naveaux; sons-in-law, Richard Wagner and David Redd; sister-in-law, Nancy Hayes; and grandson, Timothy Redd. The family would like to thank the catered living staff at Kingston Sylvania, and Ohio Living Hospice for all their care and support. Friends will be received on Friday, January 18, beginning at 12:00 P.M. at Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 E. Indiana Avenue, Perrysburg, OH 43551, until the time of service at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Fort Meigs Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cherry Street Mission or the Victory Center. Arrangements were entrusted to Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, Perrysburg (419-874-3133).
