Robert E. Napierala, Sr.

Robert E. Napierala, Sr., 77, of Holland, died July 4, 2016. Bob was born April 13, 1939 in Toledo to the late Casper and Frances (Liwo) Napierala. A graduate of Macomber High School, he attended several business management seminars early in his career at The Ohio State University, Hillsdale College and the University of Michigan. Bob retired in 2004 from the Kiemle-Hankins Co. where he was Vice President and General Manager. He also served on the Board of Directors from 1994-2016. Bob spent his early career with REMS Corp. from 1957-82. He also served as President and CEO of Whitaker Electric Corporation from 1982-88. In his free time, Bob was active with the Knights of Columbus, Junior Achievement and he loved coaching hockey, serving many years with the SMAHL. He also liked to golf and to work in his yard. Bob was fun-loving and had a great sense of humor. His family was most important to him and he was often heard talking about his children and grandchildren. Those left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 58 years, Jacqueline; children, Debbie (Richard) Demmer, Robert II (Beth), Kevin (Kirsten) and Jeff (Kelly) Napierala; grandchildren, Troy, Scott and Grace Demmer, Courtney (Andy) Fox, Nicole Davis, Robert III (Samantha), Elisabeth, Khloe, Jocelyn, Allie and Tanner Napierala; great grandchildren, Sophia Davis and Thomas Fox; and sisters, Jean (Carl) Wineland and Fran (Rich) Miller. Family and friends are invited to visit from 4-7 p.m. Friday in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.), where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 9, 2016.
