Robert Leith Morgan, 62, of Marblehead, Ohio peacefully joined His Lord and Savior while surrounded by his family in his home on February 28th, 2019. Robert was born in Fort Worth Texas on January 2, 1957. He lived in and traveled to many corners of the world, but chose the quiet shores of Lake Erie for home. Robert served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Era, guarding missiles and air bases for our country. He obtained an Associate’s Degree in Auto Mechanics and could be found working on a vehicle or machinery all of his life. Robert loved tending to his acreage and home, most of which he planted and built from the ground up. He was a loving man who treasured children and enjoyed playing board games and traveling and any activity he could do with his family by his side. Robert was preceded in death by his daughter Karen Morgan. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Christine Morgan, and children Jason Morgan of Virginia, Drew Arnold, Catie Arnold, Jessie (Ross) Durfey, Jennie (Josh) Sorrell, Noah Morgan, and Jacob Morgan, all of Ohio. He left four wonderful grandchildren Christopher French of Virginia, Elizabeth Hessler of North Carolina, Peyon Durfey and Juliette Sorrell of Ohio. Robert is also survived by his loving parents, Harold and Doris Morgan and brothers Mike (Bambi) and Jon (Ginger), all of North Carolina, as well as Aunts and Uncles, cousins and nieces. He leaves behind a host of friends from his church, work, and the community - many whose lives were changed by his faith and strength in Jesus Christ, especially a young man he loved as his own son, Tyler Ryerson. All who cared for him are welcome to a memorial service honoring Robert’s life, which will be held on Saturday March 16, 2019 at 10:00 am at Sandhill FWB Church 7703 Mason Road, Sandusky, Ohio 44870. The service will also be published on the Sandhill FWB Church page via Facebook Live. Following the service a brunch will be served. Those who desire to make a memorial donation in honor of Robert can do so to the Sandhill FWB Church. Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH assisted the family with arrangements.
