Robert Mendieta

Robert Mendieta, 67, of Perrysburg, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021. Robert was born May 5, 1953 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Antonio and Raquel (Lopez) Mendieta. He graduated from Perrysburg High School in 1973 and earned his associates degree from Bowling Green State University. He retired from Jeep after working for 28 ½ years as a mechanic. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg. He owned and operated Mama Mendieta’s Salsa. Robert loved his toys and was an avid collector, he even had a one-of-a-kind Rat Fink and Weirdo Collection from the 60’s. He also collected stamps and loved to build models. Robert is survived by his father, Antonio; sons, Matthew and Michael Mendieta; siblings, Stella (Donald) Sekulski, Sr., Tony (Tina) Mendieta, Rebecca (Alfredo) Ramirez, Monica Mendieta, Melinda Mendieta, Patty (Robert) Ray and Jessica Mendieta. He was preceded in death by his mother, Raquel; brother, Christopher Mendieta and nephew, Donald Sekulski, Jr. Services will be private.
