Robert M. Williams age 78 of Toledo passed away Friday, March 2, 2012 in Ebeid Hospice. He was born in Toledo on April 17, 1933 to Heber and Mary Williams. A veteran of the US Army, Bob retired from Toledo Scale where he worked for over 30 years. He then became a salesman for All American Coach, then Taylor Buick and finished with George Ballas Buick. He was a credentialed minister for the Church of God in Cleveland Tennessee and was a singer and evangelist forming the Calvaryland Quartet where they sang at campgrounds and churches in Northwest Ohio and Indiana. Bob also was active in nursing home ministry. He attended Shelton Park Church of God and was a member of the Toledo Scale Quarter Century Club and Conn-Weissenberger American Legion Post. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Robert Williams II; sister Estelle Sterling; and his beloved dog Chelsea. Bob is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Judy; daughter Lynda Williams; nieces Barb Tom Doran and Kathleen Greg Marvin; nephews Dale Jackie Sterling and Kevin Becky Mitchell; great nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Friends may visit at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey on Monday from 2-8 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 AM in Shelton Park Church of God 8702 Douglas Rd. Temperance Michigan 48182 where visitation will be 1 hour prior. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
