JOHNSON ROBERT L. Robert Lynn Johnson age 56 of Toledo passed away suddenly Tuesday, November 2, 2010 in Mercy St. Anne Hospital. He was born February 10, 1954 in Toledo to Johnny and Susan Shepherd Johnson. Bob retired from the City of Toledo in 2008 after 32 years of service. He loved the water, sailing, traveling and his dogs. His most famous saying was My wifes a breeder and Im just a man with many dogs. He will be sorely missed by his family and many friends. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife Lizbeth whom he would have celebrated 25 years of marriage on November 27; daughter Tara Garry Johnson-Goins; step-son James Phillips; grandchildren Erika and Shane Goins and Alexander, Anthony, Marisa and Tomas Phillips; sisters Judy Jeff Fontaine, Brenda Johnson and Flora Lee Jose Carrilo; brother Roger Johnson; father and mother-in-law James and Mary Slagle; and a host of family and friends. A celebration of his life will be held Sunday November 7 from 2-6 PM at American Legion Post #553 206 S. Byrne Rd. Toledo, Ohio 43615. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
