Robert Karl Henry

Robert Karl Henry, 85, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013 in his home surrounded by his loving family after a long illness. He was born on July 12, 1927 in Perrysburg to Karl E. and Frances M. (Hoffman) Henry. He married Mary Della Redouty on June 25, 1949 in Perrysburg. Bob was a 1946 graduate of Perrysburg High School and following school proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his discharge he went on to own and run Henry Landscape for over 60 years. Bob enjoyed spending the winters in Florida and also loved deer hunting and dancing. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Della “Dell” Henry, children, James R. Henry, Dan R. Henry, Dianne M. (Garry) Busch, Mary Anne (Joe) Goodell, Barbara A. (Dave) Austin and David K. Henry, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, sister, Carol Ann Gottfried and niece, Michelle Gottfried. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Russell Henry. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Carlene Sullivan. Friends will be received on Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 2:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, Ohio, 43551, (419-874-3133) where a scripture service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Prayers will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 25, at 9:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 A.M. at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 E. Front St., Perrysburg, Ohio. Burial will follow at St. Rose Catholic Cemetery where Military Honors will be performed. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E.
