Robert D. Heinemann, age 66, of Northwood, passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio on December 12, 2017. Bob was born on October 8, 1951 to Thomas and Jean Heinemann in Logan, West Virginia. Bob was a graduate of Lake High School and joined the Army during the Viet Nam war. He married his beloved wife, Linda S. (Zdawczyk) Heinemann on July 11, 1981 and she survives. Bob was a member of Mainstreet Church and volunteered many hours at poll booths for local elections. He also attended many political functions and rallies in Washington, D.C. He worked as a Corporate Recruiter for many years, most recently at Endevis. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Linda Heinemann; children, Matthew (Stephanie) Heinemann and Cassandra (Dayne Bihn) Heinemann; grandchildren, Makayla, Lyla, Anthony, Sophia, and Veyda; brother, Bill (Cari) Heinemann; sister, Pam (Dennis) Furlong; and in-laws, Jerry (Pat) Zdawczyk. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Jean Heinemann; grandparents, Clayton and Myrtle Ratliff and Eugene and Hazel Heinemann; and nephew, Eugene Heinemann. Friends will be received on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, Ohio (419-666-3121). Visitation will continue on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 am. at Mainstreet Church, 5465 Moline Martin Road, Walbridge, Ohio. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am. Memorial Contributions may be made to Mainstreet Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
