Robert Hastings

Robert R. Bob Hastings, 80, of Maumee, Ohio passed away Thursday, December 10, 2009 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Bob was born February 26, 1929 in Chillicothe, Ohio to Harry and Iva Waller Hastings. He graduated from Montgomery Schools in Wayne, Ohio. Bob was employed by L.O.F. for 30 years and with the Fuller Brush Company for 45 years. He enjoyed gardening, dancing and golf. Bob was a member of the Maumee American Legion Post 320, Maumee Eagles and 40 8. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Bob will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Bob is survived by his loving wife, of 55 years, Patricia Nagle Hastings whom he married July 24, 1954; sons, Robert M. Hastings of Temperance, MI and his children, Ryan and Nick; Douglas P. Hastings of Toledo and his children, Derek and Justin; and Greg Kim Hastings of Cibolo, TX and their children, Tyler and Dylan; daughter, Pamela John Myers of Toledo and their children, Donald, John and Heather; and great grandchildren, Yasmeen and Dominic. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Pat; sisters, Roberta Evans and Fern Stahl and beloved pet Sadie. Family and friends may visit Monday, December 14, 2009 from 2-8 pm in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, OH where American Legion Post #320 will conduct services at 7:00 pm followed by a Scripture Service at 7:30 pm. Funeral services will begin Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 12:30 pm in the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 1:00 pm in St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church. Interment will follow in Restlawn Cemetery.
