Robert Charles Halbert

ROBERT “BOB” CHARLES HALBERT Robert C. Halbert, 79, passed away Monday, July 4, 2011 at Kingston in Perrysburg, surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born November 3, 1931 in Perrysburg, Ohio to Glenn and Rhea (Agee) Halbert. Bob graduated from Perrysburg High School in 1951 and was drafted into the United States Army in 1952. He proudly served our country in the Korean War. He married Marilyn Moser on September 15, 1956 in Perrysburg, Ohio and she survives. Bob was a mason contractor for several years and then became a sales representative with Tri County Block & Brick, retiring December 1999. Bob was a member of Zoar Lutheran Church in Perrysburg and enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians and Browns play. He also liked fishing and the Ohio State Buckeyes. His greatest passion was his family; especially his grandchildren, never missing their sporting events. Along with his wife, Marilyn, Bob is survived by his daughters, Robin (Tom) Stange and Randi (Keith) Schlumbohm; grandchildren, Matt, Kyle, Brent and Hannah and sister, Roxann (Jack) Baker. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roland “Mick” Halbert. Friends will be received Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Witzer-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) where funeral services will be held Friday, July 8, 2011 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Timothy P. Philabaum officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Meigs Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Zoar Lutheran Church, Kingston of Perrysburg or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
