Robert Edward Greenlese

Robert Edward Greenlese, age 73, of Waterville, Ohio passed away on Monday October 3, 2016 at St. Lukes Hospital, Maumee, Ohio. He was born on June 7, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio to Harry and Beulah (Watson) Greenlese. Rob was employed for many years at The Andersons and the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority. Rob was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in the Vietnam War. After his time in the service, he graduated from the University of Toledo Business College. Rob was a member of VFW Post 11115, and past president of the Toledo Transportation Club and Delta Nu Alpha Transportation Fraternity, Commissioner of the Ohio Rail Development Commission, a member of TMACOG, former leader of Waterville Cub Scout Pack 101 and Boy Scout Troop 101, and an active member of Kairos Prison Ministry and various committees at Waterville United Methodist Church. Rob loved spending time with his family, and he was a lifelong fan of Ohio State football and Detroit Tigers baseball. Rob loved to help and be involved wherever he was needed. Rob is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Penny; children Amy Greenlese Peel, Andrew (Kathryn) Greenlese, and Michael (Amy) Greenlese; grandchildren Jack and Lily Peel, and sister Pamela Ide. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Thomas Greenlese, Suzanne Spears, Mara Lee Kolhoff, John Greenlese, Diane Spivey, Dennis Greenlese, and Penelope Greenlese Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2016 from 2-8 p.m. at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio. Additional visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. on Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Waterville United Methodist Church, 102 N. 5th Street, Waterville, Ohio with the funeral service to follow at 10 a.m., officiated by Rev. Michael Denman. Interment will be in Wakeman Cemetery, Waterville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to Kairos Prison Ministries or the Lucas County Veterans Burial Corps.
