Robert Gish

Robert Gish died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 5, 2021. He was born in Toledo, Washington on April 26, 1941 to Floyd and Jessie Gish. He spent his whole life being devoted to his family. Love for his family brought him to Sylvania, Ohio in 2019 after a life in Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, and Arizona. Rob married his wonderful wife and best friend Kathy Herning in 1964, and they raised two beautiful daughters together. He worked for Sourdough Express and Fuel and was a shop steward for building the Alaskan pipeline. Rob enjoyed pinochle, senior softball, cycling, and hiking. He enjoyed history and researching ancestry for his family. Left to cherish his life are his wife, Kathy Gish; daughters Sara (Jon) Card, Amy (Bob) Batchlet; grandchildren Alena Card, Triana Card, Robert Batchlet and Emily Batchlet. Services will be held privately.
