Robert Dwayne Fleming

Apr 25, 1935 — Oct 13, 2026

Robert "Dwayne" Fleming, 91, of Oak Harbor, OH, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, OH, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on April 25, 1935, in Kuttawa, KY, to John R. and Mary L. (Glass) Fleming. On July 4, 1990, he married Bricelene (White) Bryant in Mammoth Cave, KY, and she survives.

Dwayne was the owner of Buckeye Tank & Trailer, where he spent 30 years working in sales and repair. When he was ready to retire, he sold the business but continued working there, sharing his expertise and mentoring others. His passion for his work never faded, and just one week before his passing at age 91, he helped close one more deal-a fitting testament to his dedication and lifelong love of what he did.

Dwayne was a member of the American Truck Historical Society and, at one point in his life, owned 20 Mack trucks. He took great pride in his interest and collection of trucks, but above all, he dearly loved his wife. The two enjoyed sharing a fun coincidence about their lives: Dwayne was born in 1935 and when they met he was 53 years old, while Bricelene was born in 1953 and when they met she was 35 years old.

Dwayne was a man who never seemed to age. His mind remained as sharp as ever, and his spirit stayed young even as his body began to slow with time. Known for his quick wit and love of practical jokes, he enjoyed giving others a hard time and could take a joke just as well as he could dish one out. At heart, he was a family man who treasured time with his loved ones. He also enjoyed traveling, especially taking cruises, and making memories along the way.

In addition to his loving wife of 36 years, Bricelene Bryant, Dwayne is survived by his children, Stacy (Rick) Ransom, Connie (Mike deceased) Large, Jolene Graham, Desiree Bryant, and Roxanna Bryant; his nephew, Greg (Gail) Fleming; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
