Robert Fitch

Robert “Bob” L. Fitch, 82, of Maumee, passed peacefully on Monday, March 6, 2023 in his home, in the arms of his wife, Patricia Fitch. He was born on July 15, 1940 to Clyde and Ruth Fitch in the family home in Toledo, Ohio.

Bob graduated from Woodward High School in 1958 and began work at AP Parts for over 40 years, both in production and in the crib for the last several years. Bob also joined the Army Reserves from 1962-1968.

Bob married Patricia Fischer on September 3, 1960. During their 62 years they enjoyed camping, traveling and time with family and friends. Bob and Pat called both Toledo/Maumee and Golf Lake Estates in Bradenton, Florida home for 23 years. Bob’s family and friends in both states would call him a Mr. Fix-it, a great volunteer and one who would join in the fun whether it was building a fire in the campground or on the beach. Additionally, throughout his life Bob donated many gallons of blood to both the American Red Cross and Oneblood.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Prescott. Left to cherish Bob’s memory are his loving wife, Patricia; daughters LeAnn (Dan) Schoenfelt and Roberta (Juan Herrera) Fitch; grandchildren Emily (Drew) Palermo, Estrella Herrera and Jose’ Herrera; and great grandchildren Brady and Little P Palermo. As well as his brothers Carl Fitch and Tom (Judy) Fitch.

Friends and family will be received Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 10-1 p.m. at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, OH (419-893-7686) where funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will be private.
