Robert W Fey

Robert “Bob” W. Fey, age 85, of Toledo passed peacefully Saturday, August 4, 2018 in his home surrounded by his loving family following a brief battle with Cancer. He was born in Toledo on November 2, 1932 and was raised by his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Charles King. He attended Whitmer High School graduating in 1950. Following graduation, Bob served his country in the United States Navy. Bob was employed by Ohio Bell for 37 years beginning as a Lineman and retired in Data- Special Services. He loved nature and was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing from his pontoon boat on the Maumee River. He also loved to bowl and he golfed right to the end. He was fortunate to have had two holes in one exactly 50 years apart. One at the age of 25 and the second at the age of 75 He is survived by his daughter, Vicki (Randy Sharlow) Fey; son, Robert (Judy) Fey; step children, Judy (Tom) Allred, Buddy and family, Norm (Kelly) Reed and family and Tim (Kris) Reed and family; grandchildren, Shawn-Micheal (Paris) Trevino, Tiffany Fey, Robert (Jodi) Fey, Christy (Carla) Steele, Cricket (Erirk) Shaw, Mariah Cummins and Brandon Fey; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild as well as his brother Dale Fey. Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Jean Pranke and his second wife Peggy Jane Reed. Friends will be received on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 12-4 PM at Neville-Shank Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio 43528 (419-865-8879) where funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of monetary donations, his children suggest that you simply “Pay it forward with a Smile”, just as Bob had lived his life.
