Robert E. Evans, 87, of Sylvania, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Kingston
Residence of Sylvania. He was born in Akron, Ohio, on May 1, 1937, to Kenneth and Lucille
(Denaple) Evans. After graduating from high school, Bob attended McKim Technical School
and Akron University. He served six years in the Army Reserve. He enjoyed his career as a field
service technician for Burroughs Corporation and Toledo Transducers, traveling throughout the
U.S., Mexico, and Australia.
Bob was happily married to the love of his life, Lucinda (Lucy) Snyder, in May of 1967, and
celebrated fifty golden years together. They loved traveling together, especially visiting their
favorite vacation place in Florida.
Bob faithfully attended his home church, Westgate Chapel, volunteering with running lights,
and attending Bible study. He and Lucy loved all the music programs there, and in later years,
both participated in the Keenagers program.
Bob is survived by his brother, Frank A. Evans, and many dear and close friends. He was
preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lucy, in 2017; his brother, James K. Evans; and his
parents.
A memorial service for Bob will be held on May 9, 2025 beginning at 11:00 am at Westgate
Chapel, 2500 Wilford Drive, Toledo, Ohio 43615. Bob is now in Heaven with his Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ and reunited with his dear wife, Lucy. His remains will be privately laid to
rest at Toledo Memorial Park. Those wishing to make memorial donations are encouraged to
