ROBERT D. ELLIS Robert “Bob” D. Ellis, age 68 of Toledo, OH and formerly of Holland was called to Heaven on Sunday, January 20, 2019. He was born in Toledo on January 28, 1950 to Clifford and Nema (Smith) Ellis. He later met and married Gloria Balthazor on October 17, 1970 and together they raised two children. He was proud to have been saved and knew he was going to Heaven. Bob shared his faith at Amazing Grace Baptist Church. He worked over 45 years at Famous Supply Company and in his spare time, he enjoyed camping, fishing, making leather items and cheating at cards. One of his favorite things was visiting the horse and chicken barns at the Lucas County Fair. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Gloria; sons, Jeffrey (Emily) and Joey Ellis; grandchildren, Ryan and Summer as well as by his brothers Charles J. (Lisa) Ellis Sr. and Melvin Ellis and his sister, Shirley Rooks. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Nema as well as by his sisters, Linda Rapp and Jean Blake. Friends will be received from 2:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Neville-Shank Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, OH 43528 (419-865-8879) where funeral services will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 10:30 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s name to his wife, Gloria.
