Robert K. Bob Druyor

Robert Bob K. Druyor, 85, a lifelong resident of Port Clinton, OH died Saturday, May 11, 2013 in the Edgewood Manor Nursing Home, Port Clinton. Bob was born in Port Clinton on August 31, 1927 to Keith and Marie Christiansen Druyor. On November 24, 1950 he married LaVonne N. Harmon and after 54 years of marriage she preceded him in death on December 11, 2004. Bob worked for 37 years at Celtex Corp., retiring in 1990. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII and was a member of the V.F.W Post #2480 and the American Legion Post #113 both of Port Clinton. Bob was a kind, generous and soft spoken man who loved his family more than anything. He was a loving and loyal husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. It could be said that his hobby was his family! Survivors of Bob include his daughter Patti and her husband Paul Sandrock, grandchildren, Shannon Jarrod Schlipf, Tyler Sandrock, great grandchildren, Sessely Schlipf, Taylor Sandrock, and Tyler J. Sandrock II, sister, Jessie Jarvella, and brother George Elenor Druyor. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and 8 sisters and brothers. A memorial service for Bob will be conducted at 12:00 PM, Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the Erie Shores Assembly of God Church, 220 S. Gill Road, Port Clinton, OH 43452. The family suggests that memorial contributions for Bob be directed to a charity of the donors choice. The Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 216 Washington St. Port Clinton, is assisting the family with arrangements.
