Robert A. Draper

Robert A. Draper, 75, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away on January 4, 2021 at McLaren-St. Luke’s Hospital, Maumee, Ohio. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 23, 1945, the son of Willard and Mildred (Gonia) Draper. Robert married Rita L. (DeFalco) on July 21, 1973 at Christ United Methodist Church in Oregon, Ohio and she survives. Robert served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War with the Seabees and returned to a career in machine repair. He was employed by Chrysler Corp. for 10 years, retiring in 2014. He had also worked for Dohler-Jarvis for 15 years and Surface Combustion for 20 years. Robert was a lifetime member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter #35. Robert is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rita; his sister, Bonnie Skirvin; sister-in-law, Luette Burdge; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Lana Lang. At his request, there are no services scheduled. Memorials for Robert may be made to the donor’s choice.
