Robert Dennis "Sly" Sanderson

Robert Dennis “Sly” Sanderson, 72, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton, Ohio. He was born on May 17, 1951 in Guin, Alabama, the son of the late J.D. and Johnnie (Hamilton) Sanderson.

Sly loved to be out on the lake fishing and was first mate for many local charter boats. He also enjoyed playing pool, and woodworking.

Survivors include his sisters, Jean Askwith and Patty (Gary) Goff; nephew, Adam (Jenny) Goff; niece, Tina (Bryan) Hurless; three great-nieces and one great nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Teresa Sanderson; brother-in-law, Herb Askwith; and nephew, Jason Goff.
