Robert E. Dellinger, age 70, passed away on April 13, 2016. He was born July 10, 1945 to Earl and Virginia Dellinger in Toledo, Ohio. He attended Lake High School and later Owens Community College where he also taught students. In the 1970s, Robert moved to California for a few years, then to Atlanta, Georgia, but Robert did not prefer this location to Ohio, because it rained every day at 4pm. After he moved back to Ohio, he met the love of his life, Anita Floyd and in 1986 the couple were married. Robert was an technology-oriented and was a Ham radio operator. He loved working on computers and even spent some time as a mechanic. There was nothing he could not fix. He also had an interest in photography, though he never liked having his own picture taken. Above all, Robert loved spending time with Anita, going fishing and enjoying the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his father; and brother, Ernest Dellinger. He is survived by his wife Anita; mother, Virginia Dellinger; sister Lu (Bruce) Biery; several nieces and nephews; and his furry-companion, Sterling. Visitation will be held at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave, Toledo, OH from 4-7PM on Wednesday, April 20 with a memorial service to follow at 7pm. The family suggests memorials to The American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123, or The Toledo Humane Society, 827 Illinois Ave, Maumee, OH 43537.
