Robert E. Davies

Davies Robert Bob Robert Bob Davies, age 84, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio after a short illness. He proudly served his country during WWII in the Army Air Corp. Following the war he returned to the University of Notre Dame. He graduated in 1948 but his love of the Fighting Irish lasted a lifetime. Bobs entrepreneurial spirit led him on a number of business ventures, most of which involved his principal vocation of real estate and development. He served for many years as a manager and vice-president of the former Grogan Realty. His parents, Lynn and Lucille Davies, and a brother, David Davies, preceded him in passing. He is survived by his children, Lynn Don Pribor of Toledo, Mark Barbara Davies of Dallas, TX, Elizabeth Jean-Claude Saada of Dallas, TX, Katherine Adnan Muqaddam of Toledo, and David Lorraine Davies of San Francisco, CA. He will be missed by his long time special friend, Sallie Chovan of Toledo, and her children. Bob is also survived by his former wife, Hannah Davies of Toledo; a sister, Mary Jack Burgess of Park Ridge, IL; and a brother, William Sherry Davies of Hawthorne Woods, IL. His memory will be cherished by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bob lived well and laughed often. His quick wit revealed his humanity and intelligence. His life will be celebrated with a gathering from 4-8:00pm on Friday, September 26, 2008 at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd..
