Robert Andrew Brenner passed away peacefully on Thursday April 17, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. He was 92 years old. Upon his passing he joins his late, loving wife Ellen and two sons Robert, Mark. A Libbey High School graduate 36, Robert was born in Maumee, Ohio where he resided until entering the United States Army at age 22 and went on to faithfully serve in World War II. Upon his return, he met his lifelong companion and best friend, Ellen, with whom he spent an amazing 57 years with. Robert worked for a few years as a railroad engineer and moved on to start his own successful piano and organ business, Brenner Music Co., which he operated until he retired at the age of 51. He also headed a committee and played a major role in rebuilding the Lucas County Jail. Many of his years were spent travelling and making lifelong memories with his wife and family. He was a gracious and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Robert is survived by daughters Elizabeth Hodges Greg and Kathleen Iler; grandchildren Alexis Fritz Craig Hille, Beth Nethery, Cody and Zachary Hodges; great grandson Lucas Hille; and his four-legged best friend, Mickey. Friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St., Maumee on Tuesday April 20, 2010 from 10 am until time of services at 1 pm. Entombment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
