Robert Lee Braatz

Robert Lee Braatz, age 77, of Holland, passed away December 1, 2014 after a brief illness. Bob was born November 30, 1937 in Toledo to the late Orland and Violet Braatz. He graduated from Macomber Vocational School and worked as an auto mechanic at several area dealerships. In his free time, Bob enjoyed traveling, camping and RV restoration.  He was the founding member of the C.C.O. and a member of the Lancers Car Club.  Bob was also an avid fan of NASCAR and NFL football. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 55 years, Judie (Reau) Braatz; children, Tammy Metz, Terrie Chase (Mark) and Bob Jr. (Carrie); six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, George Braatz (Marilyn); brother-in-law, Robert Bachman; numerous nieces and nephews; and constant companion, his dog, Buddy. Bob was also preceded in death by sister, Nancy Bachman. Family and friends are invited to visit from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, December 3, 2014 in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) where a sharing of memories service will take place at 6:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to a hospice organization of the donors choice.
