Robert D. Blodgett

Robert D. Blodgett, age 85 of Toledo, Ohio passed away Monday, November 12, 2018 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born August 24, 1933 in Toledo to Deforest and Dorothy (Brobst) Blodgett. Bob was a veteran of the Navy Reserves and worked for AP Parts beginning as a general laborer, was promoted to general foreman and retired as a superintendant. A handyman at heart, he enjoyed appliance repair and automotive repairs which he worked on with his sons. He always put family first and loved going to his sons baseball games. He loved his dogs and enjoyed western movies. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws Alvin and Margie Smith; son Steve Blodgett and granddaughter Jennifer Blodgett. Surviving is his wife of 62 years Cleta Sue; sons Mike (Tina), Dan (Peggy), and Kevin (Heather) Blodgett; daughter-in-law, Micky Blodgett; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother Jimmy (Janice) Napier; sisters Judy (Tom) Sager and Jackie (Mike) Finney; his four legged companion Eddie and Honey; and many other family members and friends. Friends may visit the family at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee on Sunday, November 18, 2018 after 1 pm where funeral services will follow at 4 pm. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Maumee Valley Save-a-pet, Ohio Senior Living Hospice or Northwest Ohio Hospice.
