Robert Kane Black, 87, passed away Tuesday December 6, 2016 at his home. The son of Robert and Mary , he was born July 25, 1929 in New Castle, PA. He was a 1947 graduate of Scott High School. After graduation he began a career with Toledo Trust. Bob was drafted into the U.S. Army and was stationed in Ft. Bragg, NC for 2 years. He was honorably discharged and returned to Toledo Trust retiring in 1991. Bob was a past president of the American Institute of Banking. He loved sports, especially baseball, football, bowling and horseracing. Bob also enjoyed traveling and the outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rose Mary; children, Laura Salisbury, Robert (Christina) and William Black, Linda (Pete) Vavrinek; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may visit the family on Saturday from 4-7 PM at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd) where services will be held Saturday at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
