Robert C. W. Birmingham

July 7, 1966 — March 26, 2011

Born into this world July 7, 1966 Left us for his place in Heaven March 26, 2011 Robert Carl William Birmingham, age 44, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, He was born in Toledo, Ohio; the second son of John David, Sr. and Patricia Birmingham. Bob was a 1984 graduate of Roy C. Start High School and a 1990 graduate from the University of Findlay; where he was a proud member of Theta Chi Fraternity and he was honored by his brothers as Man of the Year and Alumni of the Year. He was employed by the Ohio Northern District US Bankruptcy Court for Judge Richard Speer as docket clerk, he was truly respected by the Bankruptcy Bar as an aid to bankruptcy lawyers. A gentle man, a gentleman, and a gentle soul; Bobby was named after his grandfathers Robert Carl and William Bobby loved sports and played softball with nearly every player in Toledo, basketball and volleyball with his family and friends; and he was especially proud of his participation in Gus Macker national tournaments. He was a loyal Toledoan who loved the Rockets and Mud Hens and is widely known as the biggest Buckeye fan I have ever met. His memory of the 2002 season and being in Sun Devil Stadium for Ohio States championship victory over the Miami Hurricanes was his fondest Buckeye memory. He was an avid reader, writer and wordsmith, penning hundreds of letters to the editor over his lifetime. An unapologetic conservative and patriot who loved our troops, the Constitution and Ann Coulter, who once declared her own admiration for him on WSPD. Bobby knew to have friends; you must be one, and like everything he did in his life, he did it with passion and love. The world is a little darker place today as one of its brighter stars has been extinguished. Bobby is survived by his parents, John Sr. and Pat; siblings, John, Michael Christine, Joe Danielle, Josh Sarah, Jamey Sandra, Trish Bob Moore, Judi Meyers, Jeremy Kelcie, Jackie Pedro Vasquez, and Juli; daughter, Mia Flores and her mother, Maria Flores; grandfather, Ralph Upton; best friend and uncle Jeff Upton, beloved nieces and nephews, Mason, Emily, Adam, Jordan, Maggie, Max, Madelyn, Sam, Alex, Jackson, Nathanael, Rebekah, Christina, Elijah, Isaiah, and Jude Birmingham, Jacob, Kelci, and godson Zachary Moore, Dominic, Isaac, Mathias, Isabella, and Alexandra Vasquez, Amanda and Lauren Meyers, soon to arrive and future Buckeye, Blaise Robert Michael Vondran; ; brother from another mother, Brian Jones; plus many aunts, uncles, cousins and a plethora Thanks for the word suggestion, Bobby of friends.
