Robert Grant Begell, 23, of Toledo and Graytown, Ohio, died June 22, 2008, as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Bob Boomer was born September 26, 1984, to LisaAnne Fleitz Gregg and James F. Begell. A 2003 graduate of Oak Harbor High School, he wrestled and played football. He was known for his 4-H, prize-winning poultry at the Ottawa County Fair. Bob was working at Carmels Mexican Restaurant. He entered the U.S. Marines boot camp last December but was injured and returned home in March. Bob was an aspiring actor and stand-up comic, who completed acting classes in Toledo and recently was proud to have played a leading role in a Mantis and Moon Productions motion picture entitled Nothing Happened. Bob was a die-hard Cincinnati Bengals fan and was known for his humor, smile, and the need to keep others laughing. Surviving Bob are his mother and step-father, LisaAnne and Gary Gregg of Graytown, his father, James Begell of Toledo, sisters, Laura M. Rood of Temperance, MI, Heather Matt Stolz of Genoa, and Melissa Gregg of Graytown, and brothers, James T. Sue Begell and John F. Begell both of Toledo and Nathan Rachel Gregg of Lambertville, MI. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rosella Fleitz and grandparents, Grant and Anna Begell and Clarence and Lillian Gregg. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2008, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 26, 2008, in Zion United Methodist Church, Elliston, Ohio, with burial to follow in Elliston Cemetery. In memory of Bob, the family suggests contributions to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; the Cherry Street Mission, 105 17th St., Toledo, OH 43604; or the Toledo Firefighters Museum, 918 Sylvania Ave., Toledo, OH 43612.
