Robert Devere Baugh, age 47, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away quietly and unexpectedly on August 14, 2011 joining his maternal and paternal grandparents and seven aunts in our restful heaven. Bobby was the dearly beloved son of Evelyn Baugh M.D. and Robert Baugh, M.D., both medically retired physicians, and two loving sisters, Christelle and Celeste. Bob was born in Detroit, MI on October 8, 1963 and lived in Grosse Pointe until moving to Toledo when in 6th grade where his mother accepted a position in the Pediatric department at the Medical College of Ohio. Bob graduated from Maumee High School in 1981 and was a member of Mensa. He attended the University of Toledo. He remained active as a very compassionate and contributing member and leader in the Boy Scouts, after becoming an Eagle Scout in high school. He has been a very active tutor to many college students, in both chemistry, physics and math. He loved traveling in England with continued learning about their history, but also in Europe. His passion was reading and collecting old books, that he often gave to others, to fit their lives and beliefs as he interpreted them. He loved classical and other music, that so often had specific meaning to him. He loved the out-of-doors, and all living things therein. He was very gifted in computers and very sensitive in his writings. He had many quotations he could recite, from Shakespeare to Einstein, that often reflected his deep thoughts and feelings about a variety of subjects. He loved to cook special dishes, for different family members and friends. Bob has always been a most giving and compassionate member of our family, and to others, and will be so tearfully and sincerely missed by all forever. He has passed to heaven so quietly in his sleep from a pulmonary embolism. All our family, with many tearful cousins and other family members, and friends who have been contacted, have been praying for his restful sleep in heaven, and he shall be sorely missed forever by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be Friday, August 19, from 4 to 8 pm at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., west of Corey Rd.. A Mass dedicated to Bobs memory will be held at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd. on Saturday at 10 am. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.
