Robert I Barker

Robert I. Barker, age 73, of Maumee passed away in his home on Tuesday evening, September 27, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born in Washington, PA on August 15, 1938 to Goldie Mae Miller and Stanley Irvin Barker. He was employed at the Ford Motor Company for 38 year retiring in 2004. A Navy Veteran, Bob enjoyed gardening and his many trips to Put-in- Bay and Kellys Island on his boat named Bad Ass. He will be remembered for his bar tricks, jokes, stories, love of cooking and his simple rule dont ever put your back to the door. Bob was baptized in the morning of September 27, 2011 by Pastor Scott Kaufman. He is survived by his loving wife Laura; children, Dean Debbie of San Diego, CA; Tracy of San Diego, CA; Collette Chuck of Toledo, OH; Heather Scott of St. Petersburg, FL; Jeff Gretchen of West Virginia; step-children, Cecil Brandy of Toledo, OH; Shawn Jackie of Walbridge, OH; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Also surviving are special friends, Ray and Donna Titera; 4 legged kids Spike and Max. He was preceded in death by his parents. Family and friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee on Saturday, October 1, 2011 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.
