Robert L. Bank, 87, of Toledo, passed away on Tuesday, September 08, 2015 at the Ohio Veteran’s Home in Sandusky, Ohio. He was born on March 26, 1928 in Toledo to William M. and Anna (Metzger) Bank and he married Virginia Mae Bank on March 28, 1952 in Toledo. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a two time recipient of the Purple Heart during the Korean War. He worked for over 30 years as a machine repairman for Acklin Stamping in Toledo, retiring in 1991. Robert was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Maumee, Ohio and a longtime resident of Swan Creek Retirement Village. He enjoyed woodworking, painting and loved nature as well as spending time with his family. Robert is survived by his daughter, Vicki (Timothy) Baker, granddaughters, Stephanie (Tom) Milici, Stacy Baker and Chelsea Baker, great grandchildren, Olivia Pauline and Elijah Mario Milici and Irelyn Annabelle Crown. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Virginia and sister, Marilyn Knipp. Services will be held privately at Toledo Memorial Park.
