Robert G. Ballmer

Robert G. Ballmer, age 60, of Maumee, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at St. Lukes Hospital. Bob was born in Missouri on August 5, 1954 to Robert Earl and Anne Marie (Smith) Ballmer. Bob was employed at the Elizabeth Scott Community as the Director of Environmental Services and owned and operated the former Sourdough Charlies Restaurant. He enjoyed his family, and took great pride and joy in his new grandson; cooking, caring for his lawn (and often joked he had the best lawn in Maumee); classic rock music, college basketball especially March Madness and the Detroit Pistons and his dogs, Molly and Isabel. Bob is survived by the love of his life, Jean Zabowski-Pennell; daughters, Lindsey (Mike) Harrison, Bailey (Jamie McDevitt) Ballmer, Kelsey (Tony Ankenbrandt) Ballmer; grandson, Jase Robert McDevitt; step daughters, Erin (Keenan) Laws, Hope (Ben) Hooper, Lisa (Mark Gamber) Pennell; brothers, William (Terri), Joseph (Diane), Michael (Lisa); sisters, Kathryn Ballmer, Elizabeth (Charles) Maps, Mary Pat (Jim) Matuszak and many, many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Lukes Hospital ICC for their excellent care of Bob. Family and friends may visit at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St., Maumee on Sunday, March 29, 2015 from 1:00-7:00 PM. Prayers will begin in the Funeral Home on Monday, March 30, 2015 at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 104 Broadway, Maumee.
