Robert E. Artz

Robert E. Artz, age 85, of Perrysburg, died Friday, November 15, 2019 at Kingston of Perrysburg. He was born December 17, 1933 in Perrysburg to Irving (Mary Cornelius) Artz. Bob served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Zoar Lutheran Church in Perrysburg. Bob worked as a diesel mechanic for Libbey Owens Ford for 38 years and later with Kazmaiers Grocery Store in Perrysburg. He was a 50 year member of the Rossford Eagles. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and spending time with family, especially his three granddaughters. Bob loved watching and following Detroit Tigers. Bob married Joan (Marsteller) Artz May 14, 1960 and she survives. Also surviving are his children, Mark Artz, Kathi (Kamil) Saleh, granddaughters, Paige Artz, Jordan Saleh, Emalee Artz, siblings, Joyce (Richard) Dauer, Duane (Lynn) Artz, brother-in-law, Robert Marsteller, many nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Kenneth (Evelyn) Artz, sister-in-law Cheryl Marsteller and nephew, Dan Artz. Friends will be received at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 East South Boundary, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 (419-874-3133) on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 from 2:00 PM-8:00 PM., where the Rossford Eagles will conduct services at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, November 20 at Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 E. Indiana Ave., Perrysburg from 10:00 AM-11:00AM with a funeral service at 11:00 AM., with Pastor Timothy Philabaum officiating. Burial will follow at Ft. Meigs Union Cemetery.
