R.M. Christine Kelley

R.M. Christine Kelley “Chris” passed away peacefully in the presence of her family November 25, 2025. Chris received her master’s degree in education from Mary Manse College; she was an English teacher at St. Joseph and Mason Consolidated in Erie MI. for 40yrs.

Summers were spent living the lake life at Clarks Lake where she enjoyed water skiing, swimming and cookouts with family and friends. Chris was an avid reader, enjoyed playing dominos, card (euchre) games and loved ballroom dancing. She will be remembered for her unwavering support and generosity to all those she loved. Her quick wit, sense of humor with a touch of sarcasm and her funny little sayings will be missed. Chris was a long-time parishioner at Regina Coeli and a daily customer at the Classic Café in Sylvania, OH. This is just a glimpse into my mother’s life; it would take a book to get a more complete view.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, Ralph Kelley; and her son, Brian Kelley. She is survived by her son, Jay Kelley; grandsons, Connor and Kyle Kelley; and a very loving dear friend, Kathleen Luce, the mother of Connor and Kyle Kelley.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3011 Carskaddon Ave, Toledo, on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be sent to Ohio Living Hospice.
