Rita Rose Rehard

Rita Rose Rehard, 92, of Perrysburg, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024, at The Manor of Perrysburg. Rita was born December 23, 1931, in Toledo, Ohio to Dominic and Regina (Tafelski) Szymanowski. She was married to John Rehard until his passing in 1992.

Rita was an active member of St. Rose Catholic Church. After raising her ten children, Rita chose to work at Kindercare in Perrysburg, caring for and rocking their youngest children.

Rita is survived by her children, Randy (Barbara) Rehard, Tom (Roxie) Rehard, Jerry (Randi) Rehard, John (Melodye) Rehard, Terry (Chris) Rehard, Robert (Robbie) Rehard, Elizabeth Rehard, and Matthew (Patty) Rehard; loving grandchildren Amy, Tegan, Kelley, Oscar, Destiny, Torrey, Kyle, Kari, Mike, Andy, Ashley, Cameron, Dan, Alyssa, Ryan, Hannah, and Paige; 32 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, with another on the way; nieces; nephews; and sons-in-law Tom Lebowsky, and Dennis Shaw. Along with her husband, Rita was preceded in death by her parents, daughters Monica and Sue, grandson Phillip, and sisters Dorothy and Theresa.

The family would like to thank the healthcare team at The Manor in Perrysburg, especially to all in the Memory Care Unit, with a special thanks to Charlie, Mary, and DeAnn.
