Rita Noonan Kimber

Rita Noonan Kimber, age 93, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away at Grand Rapids Care Center on January 9, 2013. She was born on December 6, 1919 in Bronx, New York to Joseph and Catherine Ryder Noonan. Following High School Graduation, Rita attended St. Marys School of Nursing in New York, and later worked as a nurse at Mercy Hospital. Shortly after graduation, she met her husband to be William Kimber in Long Island, NY while on a family vacation. The two were married for 56 years. They had three sons; William Jr., John, and Kevin Kimber. Rita was a devoted member of St. Rose Parish in Perrysburg, Ohio where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and Helping Hands serving funeral luncheons. She enjoyed swimming, bird watching and traveling to Marco Island and abroad. Rita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Kevin; sister: Catherine Comollo; grandchildren; Kelly Christian Tobar, Rebecca Kimber, and Kitty Gregg Farmery; great-grandchildren; Cruz, Kai, Josey, Jack and Lucy. Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; sons Bill Jr. and John; and brother, William Noonan. Friends and family may visit on Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 3 to 6 pm at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St, Maumee. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Monday at 10 am followed by Mass at 10:30 am at St. Roses Catholic Church, Perrysburg. Interment at St. Rose Cemetery.
