Ricky L. Bierbaum

Ricky (Rick) Bierbaum, 63, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away, Tuesday, March 15th surrounded by his family.

Rick was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 19, 1958 to his parents William and Constance (Honsberger) Bierbaum. He graduated in 1976 from Anthony Wayne High School where he played football and baseball.

Rick worked as a metal fabricator for 42 years, both as a welder and in management. Aside from serving 12 years as a volunteer fireman for the ACJFD, Rick was also active in coaching for the Genoa Little League Association and for the Genoa Little Comets Football program. In his free time, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially loved camping in Port Clinton every summer for the past decade.

Rick is survived by his wife of 42 years, Diane (Fisher) Bierbaum; children Bill Bierbaum, Cheryl (Matt) Routson, Stacy (Brian) Lynn, and Ricky Bierbaum, Jr.; grandchildren Eirian, Damyon, Zachary, Ryan, Logan, Ben, Aaron, Brian Jr., and Waylon; sisters Vickie Bierbaum, Debbie Bierbaum, and Cindy (Dan) Braun; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Rick’s family is honoring his request that no services be held.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be to the Genoa Athletic Boosters, 2810 N.
