Rick D. Rogers

Rick D. Rogers, 55, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Flower Hospital. Rick was born May 22, 1956 in Barberton, Ohio to Raymond and Alma (Hopkins) Rogers. Rick married Nancy Lontz on September 12, 1981 In Vienna, West Virginia and she survives. Rick currently worked at Libbey Glass as a forming operator. He loved motorcycles and his four legged companion, Throttle. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially bow- hunting. Along with his wife, Nancy, Rick is survived by his siblings, Ronald (Cindy) Rogers, Jeff (Joan) Rogers, Jerry (Penny) Rogers, Debbie (Mark) Haynes and Kathy Denton; mother and father-in-law, Hubert and Dorothy Lontz; brothers-in-law, Hubie (Tracy) Lontz and Scott (Norma) Lontz; Nikole Lontz and Bert Lontz; several nieces and nephews and best friend, Bob Vince. Rick was preceded in death by his daughter, Tiffany Fay (Moore) Inderbitzin and his parents. Friends will be received Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 2-8 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) where funeral services will be held Monday, April 2, 2012 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Gary Rode officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Meigs Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rick’s name to The Flower Hospital Foundation. A special thanks to the doctors, nurses and support staff at Flower Hospital, especially, Jennifer, Jenny, Danielle, Jen and Joyce for their compassionate care; and a special thank you to Dr. Johan Aasbo.
