Rick Ferguson

Rick Ferguson, 64, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 31, 1949, in Fostoria, OH, the son of Richard Allen and Esther Ireland Ferguson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served two tours in the Vietnam War. Rick was the owner/operator of his own restaurant. He was a very kind, caring, loving man, who always put others needs ahead of his own. Rick will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include: Son: Cole Steffi Ferguson; Daughter: Carina Jason Woodley; Brothers: Doug Cindy Ferguson, Richard Cole and Jeff Cole; Aunt Sissy: Rose Durst; Fiance Darlene Fahey; Darlenes Daughter: Melisa Fahey and Son: David Fahey; Grandchildren: Caleb Joshua, Taylor, Trevor LJ and Ally, Devan Tyler. Rick was preceded in death by his father: Richard A. Ferguson, step-mother: Katherine Ferguson, mother: Esther Cole and step-father: Max Cole. A Graveside service with military rites will be conducted at 1:00PM, Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Catawba Island Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial donations in memory of Rick may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870. Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory has assisted the family with arrangements.
