On December 4th of 1971, Richelle S. Woods was born Richelle S. Phillips in Toledo, Ohio. Her parents were natives of the city as well, so with pride, it was home. As an alum of Thomas A. DeVilbiss High School, her life’s foundation was formed in Toledo. In 2001, she relocated to Georgia with her army man whom she married in 2005.
In Toledo, Richelle learned the importance of family. Even after moving away, family orientation was still a priority, heavily guiding her social life. Her faith in Jesus put her in many spaces that allowed God to use her for the benefits of others.
As if her captivating beauty wasn’t enough, she carried a radiant smile that could heal a broken heart. Her love for retail was always evident in her polished style, but even more through her heart of gold. Generosity and hospitality came naturally to her, making perfect for growth during her 30-year career in healthcare. With her infectious demeanor, Richelle made a mark on the souls of everyone she met. The life she lived touched many in 53 years.
Richelle is preceded in death by her parents, Jacquelyne A. Phillips and Harold R. Glover Sr. She is survived by her beloved husband of 20 years, Henry L. Woods Sr. Her children- JaShontaé Stephens and Jeffrey (Tifane) Edwards. Her grandchildren- Reginald J. Stephens II., Kameron T. Edwards, and Harlem R. Stephens. Her brothers- Ezria D. Phillips, Kevin (Cynthia) Phillips, Harold R. Glover, and Jason Kyser.
A funeral service will be held at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave, Toledo, OH, on Tuesday, September 9th, 2025, at 10 a.m.
