Richard W. Wolf, 92, of Oak Harbor, died at his home, Thursday, February 13, 2014. Richard was born October 16, 1921, in Port Clinton, Ohio, to the late William S. and Myrtle Below Wolf. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie M. Feaver Wolf, who he married in Fremont, Ohio, on August 26, 1944. During WWII he worked for Erie Army Depot in the gun maintenance department and left there in December 1966 after 26+ years. He then worked at Formetal, Inc. in Oak Harbor for 13 years retiring in 1980. Richard was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oak Harbor and enjoyed playing on the dartball team for many years. He was also a member of the NARFE. He and his wife, Rosalie, enjoyed square dancing and were avid campers for many years. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving Richard are his children, Pamela Thomas Ivsan of Charlotte, NC, David Jane Wolf of Fort Mill, SC and Cynthia Thomas Mohr of Curtice, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, William, Franklin and Wendall Wolf, and sister, Evelyn Wolf. Visitation will be Thursday, February 20, 2014, from 2-8 p.m. at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor. The funeral service will be conducted by Reverend John Stirewalt, 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 21, 2014, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor. with burial to follow in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. The family has requested memorials for Richard to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 122 W. Ottawa St., Oak Harbor, OH 43449.
