Richard Charles Widmer

Richard “Pops” Charles Widmer, age 59 of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. He was born in Oregon, Ohio on September 29, 1959 to Rayneld and Sandra (Johnson) Widmer. Rick was a graduate of Waite High School. He had worked for Plabell Rubber Products for 27 years and for the past 12 years has been working for Hinkle Manufacturing and Interstate Lanes. Rick was an avid Ohio State fan, enjoyed golf, bowling, camping and spending time with his family. Left to cherish his memory are his children, USAF MSgt Steven (Melody) Widmer and Diane (Don) Abdo; fiancée, Sandi Schorling; grandchildren, Dana, Jacob and Branden Widmer, Donnie, Jaidon and Donovan Abdo. Also surviving are his siblings, Dawn Widmer and Allan Widmer. Rick was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Brian Widmer; and sister, Vicky Luda. Family and friends may visit at the Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Rd. Rossford, Ohio on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 2 – 9 PM where funeral services will take place at 7 PM.
