Richard B. Weyandt, 77, of Inverness, Florida, died Monday, November 29, 2010, in Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness. Richard was born March 14, 1933, in Toledo, Ohio, to Floyd W. and Geraldine J. Brough Weyandt. On June 4, 1977, in Clay Center, Ohio, he married Maryon C. Culbreth and she survives. After 36 years, Richard retired as a maintenance supervisor from BP of Oregon. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea and was a member of the VFW in Hernando, FL. Richard was a former member of the Millbury Fire Dept. and the OCAW 1-346 of Oregon, OH, and was a member of the Genoa Masonic Lodge #433. Many of Richards interests included golfing, bowling, fishing, and spending time gardening in his backyard; and in his younger years, he played baseball in the northwest Ohio area. In addition to his wife, Maryon, he is survived by his sons, Mark MaryJo Weyandt, Mike Kimberly Weyandt and Phil Lisa Weyandt, step sons, Jesse Jennifer Lucas Morgan, Lawrence D. Rhonda Smith, Samuel M. Carrie Smith and Marshall K. Joyce Smith, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, six step grandchildren, and seven step-great grandchildren. Richard is also survived by his siblings, Shirley Don Crone, Beverly Lehrman, Betty Oberhaus and Linda Vanetta. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, David, Ed and Sam Weyandt and sisters, Wilma Norwalk, Pat Bowlin and Ruth Busch. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 4, 2010, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, with a military graveside service in Clay Township Cemetery. The family has suggested memorials for Richard to the American Heart Association, a chapter of the donors choice.
