Richard E. Westphal, Sr.

Richard E. Westphal Sr., 84, of Perrysburg, OH, passed away on August 26, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, surrounded by his family. Richard was born on February 13, 1926 in Highland Park, MI to Ernest Paul and Frances Mohler Westphal. On May 7, 1955, in Toledo, OH he married Gayle Witherell. Richard was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy in World War II and was an electrician for Westphal Electric for over 30 years. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Surviving family includes, loving wife of 55 years, Gayle Westphal of Perrysburg, OH, children, Richard Amy Westphal Jr., of Waterville, OH, Ronald Lynette Westphal of Sylvania, OH, Karla Westphal of Alpharetta, GA, Kenneth Westphal of Perrysburg, OH, Janine Westphal of Perrysburg, OH, James Becky Westphal of New Castle, CO, grand-daughters, Amanda, Allison, Abigayle, Tracy, Emily, Gracie, Ellie, and sister Mary Haas. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Robert, John and Charles. There will be no services. Memorial contributions in memory of Richard may be directed to St. Rose Parish, Perrysburg or to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
