Richard H Wandtke, Jr.

Richard H. Wandtke Jr., age 71 of Sylvania, passed away Saturday February 17, 2018 in Toledo Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 19, 1946 in Toledo to Richard H. and Bernice (Buhrandt) Wandtke Sr. A graduate of DeVilbiss High School he attended the University of Toledo. Dick was in the banking industry for over 40 years primarily specializing in lending. He was an avid boater, bowler and golfer with 2 holes in one. Dick was a long-time supporting member of the Home Builders Association. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife of 32 years, Shelly S. Wandtke; children Rich (Shelly L.) Wandtke, Todd (Todd Taylor) Wandtke and Lisa (Jade) Perry; and a grandson Cameron Perry. Friends may visit the family at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) on Wednesday February 21 from 2-8 p.m. where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. The family suggests memorials to St. Josephs Church 5373 Main St. Sylvania, Ohio 43560.
