Richard W Jones

Richard W. Jones, age 75, of Perrysburg, passed away on October 22, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee. Richard was born in Toledo on August 4, 1939 to William & Leora (Mitchell) Jones. A Veteran of the US Navy, Richard worked as a salesman for Maumee Office Supplies, after which Richard and his wife, Judy, moved to Arizona and became Concessionaires. In 1993 Richard built and operated his own fudge trailer and began selling fudge all across the country. He became known as 'The Fudge Man' or Mr. Fudge'. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Surviving is his loving wife, Judy; children, Dana (John) Istler; Craig (Lynn) Jones; Mick (Jody) Jones; grandchildren, Keith (Marie) Istler; Jeremy Istler; Amber Jones; Allen Jones; Nicole Jones; Olivia Jones; Tanner Jones; great-granddaughter, Isabell Jones; step-children, Beth Breier; Brad (Shannon) Schwanbeck; grandchildren, Megan Breier; Katie Breier; Anna Breier; Samantha Schwanbeck; Dillon Schwanbeck; Wyatt Schwanbeck; brothers, Tom & Jerry Jones. He was preceded in death by his brother, Howard. Friends and family will be received in the Neville Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland (419-865-8879) from 2pm to 8 pm Friday where funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 11 am. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the staff of Heartland at Perrysburg for their care and support shown to Richard and his family.
