Richard Taters A. Brown, 68, of Genoa, died Sunday evening, March 3, 2013, at Bay Park Community Hospital, Oregon, Ohio. Taters was born June 20, 1944, in Toledo, Ohio, to R.A. and Jewel E. Neal Brown. He worked for 30 years at L.O.F. at the East Broadway and Rossford plants and served in the National Guard during the Vietnam Era. Taters was a member of the Genoa Masonic Lodge, the Genoa American Legion Post #324 and the Rossford Eagles. He is survived by his sisters, Myrna Dale Aldrich of Genoa, Mary Sherer of Oregon, Alice Larry Lucas, of Gibsonburg, Roberta Cookie Bradfield of Fremont and brother, Robert Susan Brown of Perrysburg. His parents and sisters, Joan Meyer and Barbara Ludwig, preceded him in death. Services for Taters are private. A gathering of friends will be 7:00-9:00 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2013, at the Genoa fire hall corner of 6th and Washington Streets in Genoa. The family has suggested memorials for Taters to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551; or the Wounded Warrior Project, 301 Grant St. Suite 900, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. Arrangements have been handled by Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Genoa, Ohio. The family would like to especially thank Dr. Neiman Odeh, the nurses and staff at Bay Park Community Hospital for their special care given to Taters.
